The State of Oregon deposits billions of our tax dollars into the same “Too Big To Fail” banks that crashed our economy. Oregonians for a State Bank believes that we should bring that money home, and invest it into creating jobs here.
2011 Legislative Campaign
OfSB continues to unite farmers, small business owners, community bankers, and working Oregonians. The Oregon legislature considered a few legislative proposals this past session, which would have consolidated and streamlined many of the state’s economic development funds. These funds—our tax dollars—would have been used to extend lending to community banks, acting as a bankers’ bank. Although our bill didn’t pass in 2011, we are continuing to fight for this concept.
